SOUNDS OF... SHOBANA PRASAD
Hello and welcome to Sounds of… a podcast created by Drum and Brass, with the support of the National Lottery, and Leicestershire County Council in which we explore the impact of music on our lives. In today’s episode, we hear Drum and Brass director, Julie Hoggarth talking to Shobana Prasad,
Shobana Prasad (sometimes known as Soulful Shobana) is a former intelligence analyst in the British Civil Service who had the privilege and responsibility of writing and briefing on subjects of major international interest (as well as working in an active war zone). After a series of health scares in 2016 she finally understood the signals the universe was sending her and opted for a radical lifestyle change. For the last 3 years, whilst recovering, she has organically formed a publishing, events and media platform called the "soulful group" which has a simple purpose to 'unlace words and detangle life to help make the world a more soulful place'. The soulful group is part publishing house, part lifestyle brand and part social enterprise but always fully soulful.
